The American Arithmetic Competitors 8 (AMC 8) is a 25-question, 40-minute multiple-choice examination in center college arithmetic designed to advertise the research of arithmetic and to develop problem-solving expertise.
The AMC 8 is taken by roughly 150,000 college students in the USA and Canada annually. The highest-scoring college students on the AMC 8 are invited to take the American Arithmetic Competitors 10 (AMC 10).
