Litha 2025, also called the summer season solstice, is a big occasion within the Wiccan and Pagan calendar. It marks the longest day of the 12 months within the Northern Hemisphere and is a time of celebration, fertility, and progress.
The summer season solstice has been celebrated for hundreds of years by many cultures all over the world. In historic Greece, it was often known as the competition of Helios, the solar god. In Rome, it was celebrated because the Feast of Vesta, the goddess of the fireside. And in Celtic cultures, it was often known as Beltane, a competition honoring the god of fireside.
