Martin Luther King 2025 is a nationwide initiative to commemorate the one centesimal anniversary of the beginning of Martin Luther King Jr. The initiative goals to advertise King’s legacy of nonviolence and social justice, and to encourage a brand new technology of activists to combat for equality.
The initiative was launched in 2015 by the King Heart, a nonprofit group based by King’s widow, Coretta Scott King. The initiative has since been endorsed by a variety of organizations, together with the Nationwide Affiliation for the Development of Coloured Folks (NAACP), the Southern Christian Management Convention (SCLC), and the AFL-CIO.
