The Revised Widespread Lectionary (RCL) is a three-year cycle of Scripture readings utilized by many Christian denominations. The RCL was first printed in 1992 and was revised in 2002. The 2025 RCL is the latest revision of the lectionary.
The RCL is designed to supply a complete overview of the Bible over a three-year interval. The readings are organized in a thematic order, so that every Sunday’s readings relate to a specific theme. The RCL additionally contains readings from a wide range of sources, together with the Previous Testomony, the New Testomony, and the Apocrypha.
