Depraved is a Broadway musical with music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and a guide by Winnie Holzman. The musical is predicated on the 1995 novel Depraved: The Life and Occasions of the Depraved Witch of the West by Gregory Maguire, which is a retelling of the 1939 movie The Wizard of Ozfrom the attitude of the witches of Oz.
The musical premiered on Broadway in 2003 and has since been carried out in over 100 cities around the globe. It has received quite a few awards, together with three Tony Awards and a Grammy Award. The musical is understood for its catchy songs, gorgeous visuals, and highly effective performances.
