Whereas snowfall shouldn’t be unusual within the state of Georgia, the winter of 2025 introduced unprecedented snowfall to the area. Starting on January seventeenth, a collection of winter storms dumped a number of inches of snow throughout the state, inflicting widespread energy outages, journey disruptions, and faculty closures.
The heavy snowfall had a big impression on the state’s infrastructure. Many roads grew to become impassable, and several other main highways have been closed. Energy strains have been downed, leaving 1000’s of houses and companies with out electrical energy. Colleges have been closed for a number of days, and plenty of companies have been pressured to shut or function with lowered workers.
